“A good retreat guide doesn’t show you the way – they hold the space so you can find your own.”

The Safe Spirit School is a  training space for people who wish to support retreats with awareness, responsibility, and inner clarity. It is designed for those who want to learn how to hold retreat spaces professionally, guide groups safely, and support participants on their path of self-discovery.

In many areas, the interest in retreats and inner work is growing. At the same time, there is a need for people who can hold these spaces with integrity, experience, and responsibility. This is exactly where the training of the Safe Spirit School begins.

Our program combines practical experience, personal development, and solid knowledge about retreat work. The goal is not to play a role or adopt a spiritual identity, but to be present, take responsibility, and accompany people with awareness and respect.

Training as a Retreat Assistant

The Retreat Assistant supports the Retreat Guide and helps ensure that the space for participants remains stable, safe, and well held.

In this training you will learn, among other things:

  • Foundations of retreat support

  • Responsibility and ethics in retreat spaces

  • Supporting participants during intense processes

  • Preparation and integration of ceremonies and sessions

  • Holding group spaces with stability and presence

  • Practical organization of a retreat

  • Communication and responding to participants’ needs and questions

The Retreat Assistant is an essential support within the retreat environment and contributes greatly to creating an atmosphere of safety and trust.

Training as a Retreat Guide

The Retreat Guide training is intended for people who wish to lead retreats themselves and guide groups through processes of self-discovery.

Key areas of the training include:

  • Structure and facilitation of retreats

  • Holding space for group processes

  • Preparation, guidance, and integration of ceremonies

  • Responsibility when working with intense experiences

  • Clear communication and participant guidance

  • Ethical foundations and professional conduct

  • Integration of meditation, reflection, and awareness practices

A Retreat Guide carries responsibility for the entire retreat process — from preparation to integration.

Practice and Experience

A central element of the training is practical experience in real retreat settings. Participants do not only learn theoretical foundations but also actively experience and support retreats.

The following principles are at the heart of the training:

  • Presence instead of role

  • Responsibility instead of authority

  • Clarity instead of mystification

  • Support instead of dependency

Who is this training for?

The Safe Spirit training is intended for people who:

  • Want to learn retreat work in a responsible way

  • Are interested in personal development and awareness work

  • Wish to professionally support group spaces

  • Already have experience with meditation, retreats, or inner work

The Vision of the Safe Spirit School

The vision of the Safe Spirit School is to train a new generation of retreat facilitators who conduct retreats with integrity, clarity, and responsibility.

People who do not promise healing or claim to have answers — but who create spaces in which participants can encounter themselves.

We’ll gently send you all the retreat info by email.
