From Tenerife to Mainland Europe
For many years, Tenerife was our main retreat location. Month after month, we welcomed people from different countries across Europe and from around the world to our retreats. With its impressive nature, tranquility and unique atmosphere, the island became a place of deep personal experiences and meaningful moments of self-discovery for many participants.
Over time, however, it became increasingly clear to us that the distance could be a challenge for many people in Europe. Traveling to the Canary Islands means additional flight time, higher travel costs and greater organizational effort. For this reason, in July 2026 we consciously decided to leave Tenerife as our permanent retreat location and shift our work more strongly toward mainland Europe.
New Ayahuasca Retreats in Europe
Our goal is to make it easier for people from Europe and beyond to reach us and to offer an accessible space for retreat, self-discovery and inner work. That is why we are now continuing our Ayahuasca retreats at different locations across mainland Europe – in Spain, Austria and the Czech Republic.
The new locations make traveling from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and many other European countries considerably easier. International airports such as Barcelona, Vienna and Prague offer numerous direct connections, making the journey much more convenient. At the same time, we continue to carefully select retreat locations that provide enough space for peace, nature and personal processes.
Ayahuasca Retreat Spain
Spain is now one of our main new retreat locations. The region around Tarragona on the Spanish mainland combines nature and tranquility with good accessibility. At the same time, the region is within reach of Barcelona and benefits from good international transport connections.
An Ayahuasca retreat in Spain therefore offers the opportunity to consciously step away from everyday life while keeping the journey relatively straightforward. For participants from Germany and other European countries, mainland Spain is often considerably easier to reach than the Canary Islands.
Ayahuasca Retreat Austria
Austria has also become an important part of our new European retreat structure. Our retreats in Austria take place in natural surroundings, including locations in the Austrian Alps. The landscape offers a powerful contrast to everyday life and creates a special setting for retreat, reflection and personal processes.
With international connections through Vienna and other airports, Austria is also easily accessible from many European countries. This allows us to offer participants from different parts of Europe a centrally located and accessible place for their personal time away.
Ayahuasca Retreat Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is another new retreat location. Its central position within Europe makes the country particularly accessible for participants from Germany and neighboring countries. At the same time, the surroundings offer opportunities to consciously step away from everyday life for a few days and turn inward.
With the Czech Republic, we are expanding our range of Ayahuasca retreats in Europe with another accessible location. Step by step, this is creating a European retreat offering that brings together people from different countries while preserving the space and privacy needed for personal inner work.
All Retreat Dates Until March 2027 Are Confirmed
With our new European focus, we have expanded our planning for the months ahead. All retreat dates through March 2027 have now been firmly scheduled. This gives our participants the opportunity to plan their journey and personal time away well in advance.
Especially when attending a retreat, good preparation is important. It is not simply about spending a few days in a different place. It is about consciously stepping away from everyday life, creating space to pause, reflect, and dedicate time to yourself.
Self-Discovery Instead of Self-Optimization
Even though our locations are changing, the fundamental approach of Safe Spirit Retreats remains the same. Our work is not about “optimizing” a person or turning them into a supposedly better version of themselves. At the heart of what we do is self-discovery.
Who am I behind my familiar roles? Which patterns shape my thoughts and actions? Which ideas and beliefs about myself have I adopted? And what remains when we begin to consciously question these ideas?
A retreat can create a space where such questions can be explored more deeply. We do not promise specific results or a predetermined transformation. No Promises · Honest Work. We believe that genuine change can begin when we are willing to meet ourselves with honesty.
Change, Transformation and New Horizons
Leaving Tenerife was an emotional step for us. After so many years, a place becomes connected not only with rooms and landscapes, but above all with people and shared experiences. Many participants had their first retreat experience with Safe Spirit on Tenerife. Some came once, others returned, and some accompanied us for many years. For all of this, we are deeply grateful.
Yet change sometimes means leaving a familiar place behind. Not because it has lost its value, but because the journey itself continues to evolve.
Tenerife has been an important part of our story. Now that story continues on mainland Europe. From the island to the mainland. From Tenerife to Spain, Austria and the Czech Republic. From a familiar chapter to new horizons.
